ALEX COTTER

"Kate truly champions stories and authors."

Alex Cotter has worked hard all her life at daydreaming, while making a living from words: from bookselling at W.H.Smith and book PR at Colman Getty to writing and teaching creative writing.

Alex lives near Bath in an ancient house, with cobwebs, creaky floorboards, one husband, two children, and a revolutionary cat called Trotsky.

Alex Cotter has previously written Carnegie nominated teen novels (under the name Alex Campbell) and is now writing contemporary middle grade fiction, the first of which, The House on The Edge, was WH Smith Travel’s Children’s Book of the Month.

ALEX ABOUT KATE

Kate’s not only a talented agent, she’s an advisor, a creative collaborator, a natural editor (with unbelievable attention to detail). Most of all, she truly champions stories and authors. Oh, and she cares. The last one counts for a lot!

KATE ABOUT ALEX

Alex’s writing has wit and attitude that is unique and refreshing. Her protagonists are utterly real; their stories gripping and convincing. She’s also one of the nicest people you could meet.
