Alex Crawford, OBE, is the only journalist to have won the Royal Television Society’s Journalist of the Year Award five times. She has also won two BAFTAs, three Emmys, five Golden Nymphs, the Bayeux War Correspondents Award, and the prestigious James Cameron Memorial Award.
After growing up in Nigeria, Zambia and Zimbabwe, Alex began her career at the Woking Times before moving to the BBC, TV-AM and eventually Sky News. She has been Special Correspondent in Sky’s Dubai, Delhi, Johannesburg and Istanbul bureaus.
Alex is married to fellow journalist Richard Edmondson and they have four children.
Alex Crawford was awarded her OBE for services to Broadcast Journalism in the 2012 New Year's Honours List.
