ANNA STUART
Anna Stuart wanted to be an author from the moment she could hold a pen and was writing boarding school novels by the age of nine. After a ‘proper job’ as a factory planner Anna stopped to have children and took the chance to take up the ‘improper job’ of writing again.
During the baby years she filled every free moment writing short stories and serials for all the women’s magazines but her ultimate aim was to write longer fiction, which she now does.
Anna’s gripping and heartbreaking novels, based on real events during WW2, are all published by Bookouture in the English language and are Kindle bestsellers. They are also translated into dozens of languages around the world and her most successful title, The Midwife of Auschwitz, is a bestseller in France.
Anna Stuart also writes warm-hearted contemporary fiction for Trapeze. Under the pseudonym Joanna Courtney she writes powerful historical novels and as Jo Wilde she has penned a lockdown love story called Just the Two of Us.
