HOLLY RIVERS

Holly grew up in Wales where she spent a lot of time drawing, reading and wishing that she was Pippi Longstocking.
After graduating she spent time working as an actor, broadcaster and cheese seller, until one day she had the idea to pen a story about a tenacious young inventor named Demelza. She started writing and has never wanted to stop.
Having accepted a 3-book pre-empt for Demelza and the Spectre Detectors from Chicken House, Holly's days are now spent writing books for children and working as a children's drama facilitator and performer. She also loves travelling, woolly things, collecting retro toys and playing ukulele.
Holly lives in London and still wishes that she was Pippi Longstocking.
