"Kate is fun, wise and thoughtful."

Jo Clegg’s brief stint as a stand-up comic ended when a promoter told her she was really funny until she got on stage.  After ten years as a producer in TV and radio comedy, Jo became a scriptwriter.

Her scripts for children’s TV, including BAFTA and Emmy-award winning Hey Duggee, are represented by Jean Kitson at Kitson Press Associates.

Jo now makes adult readers laugh as well with her contemporary novels, sold to Orion in a two-book deal for publication in 2021 and 2022.

HOW JO BECAME KATE’S CLIENT

In an online interview, Kate said she liked writing with ‘playfulness and heart’. I felt a connection to that, so submitted my manuscript to her.

JO ABOUT KATE

Kate is fun, wise and thoughtful, says what she thinks and works very hard.

KATE ABOUT JO

Jo is a terrific comedy writer who creates characters and stories with real emotional pull.  She listens and takes feedback brilliantly, makes me laugh and is a pleasure to work with.
