THE WRITER WHO MOST INSPIRED JUSTINE

As a child, my favourite books were The Winter of Enchantment by Victoria Walker and Hans Christian Anderson’s Fairy Tales. I lost myself in them over and over again. I still re-read them now when I’m feeling in need of inspiration. It’s amazing how talking teapots, evil enchanters and saucer-eyed dogs can fire up my creativity!

HOW JUSTINE BECAME KATE’S CLIENT

Kate and I first met over coffee, during which she offered to represent me. She gave me a lovely letter to take home, which put her offer in writing in case I worried later that I had imagined everything. I knew then that Kate was the agent for me: someone who truly understands the mysterious workings of the author psyche!

KATE ABOUT JUSTINE

Justine’s greatest skill as a storyteller is to combine relatable characters with the most preposterous settings and plots:  gambling, magic, talking cats, murder!   I love her audacity and, most importantly, so do young readers.
