LESLEY LOKKO
Lesley Lokko, OBE, is a bestselling novelist and a professor of architecture. She was awarded the OBE ‘for services to architecture and education’ in the first New Year’s Honours List by King Charles III.
Lesley was born to a Scottish artist and Ghanaian surgeon and has spent most of her life travelling and working across the world. In 2021 she was awarded the RIBA Annie Spink Award for outstanding contributions in architectural education and in 2021 she was appointed curator of the Biennale Architettura 2023. She is currently director and founder of the African Futures Institute in Accra, Ghana and her novels are published and loved across the globe, from Italy to South Africa; Poland to Australia.
