As a child Lorraine always read, wrote and dreamt of becoming a published author but for a mixed-race kid growing up on a housing estate in Essex that sometimes felt like an impossibility.

Now a successful published children’s author, Lorraine is also co-founder of #ukmgchat, which enables writers, agents, editors and publishers of middle grade fiction to share their experience and expertise. She’s a member of the Society of Book Writers and Illustrators and the Golden Egg Academy, winner of the Crystal Kite 2018 and shortlisted for the FCBG Children’s Book Awards 2020. Lorraine is also passionate about encouraging young dreamers to believe in themselves.

Lorraine’s new series, Interdimensional Explorers, is published by Farshore.

Lorraine lives in Suffolk with her family.
