THE WRITERs WHO MOST INSPIRED Nicki

I was a teenage devotee to Agatha Christie and that got me hooked on crime. Derek Landy and Jonathan Stroud were my inspiration for wanting to write children’s books. Bernadine Evaristo is my inspiration for having a Positive Mental Attitude. And so many authors for inspiring me to write crime fiction, but particularly those who lead the way in showing what is possible to do, such as Kate Atkinson and Stuart Turton.

HOW NICKI BECAME KATE’S CLIENT

I was lucky enough to be recommended to Kate by two lovely people, my fabulous editor Rachel Leyshon and my wonderful writing friend Jasbinder Bilan. From the first time of meeting her, Kate was one of those people you just feel you have known for ages. Knowing the magic she weaves to make all her client’s wishes come true, it felt more like meeting my fairy godmother.
